When you ask Kenn he says he was “born a long time ago”. Kenn had a very mobile childhood attending thirteen schools before he joined the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) at fifteen where he trained as an electronics tech. After five years in the RAN he became a civilian and had to start real work. Kenn wanted to travel so he found a job with a Louisiana oil search firm that lasted almost 5 years and took him to many interesting places. Kenn says “I married at twenty two to the same excellent companion I am still with”. They came to Grafton in the mid 70’s surviving as shopkeepers for twenty two years, during which time they raised two sons.
In 1996 they needed a change so they both retrained and began the next phase of their lives. Kenn built on his management experience and has steadily built a consulting business with a focus on governance and management. For the past nine years he has also served as manager to Gurehlgam Corp Ltd, an aboriginal NFP delivering community programs across the Northern Rivers.
