Accommodation Supports

Caringa understands that one of the most important decisions you can make is choosing where you live.

Moving into a new living space is more than just changing your address. It’s about creating a home – a place where you feel comfortable, safe, and part of a community.

At Caringa, we believe that Supported Independent Living is more than just accommodation – it’s an opportunity to create a home and a family of choice.

As we continue to advance in our understanding of inclusive living, our Accomodation Supports stand as a testament to Caringa’s commitment to creating a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in a space that truly supports YOUR personal and unique needs and aspirations.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Help with, and intensive supervision of, your day-to-day tasks so you can develop the skills you need to live as independently as possible. These supports are provided in your home with the funding being individualised or shared depending on your living situation.

Supported Independent Living is funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan.

Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA)

Accommodation if you require specialised housing due to your support needs or impairments.

Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA) is designed to empower individuals with unique support needs or impairments by providing tailored housing solutions. Caringa recognises that everyone deserves a place to call home that not only meets their basic needs but also enhances their quality of life and supports their independence.

SDA goes beyond traditional housing by offering specially designed or adapted living spaces that cater to the specific requirements of people with disabilities, ensuring you can live comfortably and safely in an environment that truly feels like home. Under the NDIS, SDA is funded separately from Supported Independent Living, reflecting its importance as a foundational element in your life.

By offering SDA, we are proud to not just provide houses; but also create homes that foster independence, dignity, and community integration for your complete life

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) will be funded separately to Supported Independent Living in your NDIS plan, as a Capital Support.
